WHOeyes is a free mobile application that assesses distance and near visual acuity, designed for users aged over 8 years. It offers a convenient tool to monitor visual performance outside clinical environments.
The functionality of WHOeyes replicates the methodology employed by eye care professionals when evaluating vision with traditional charts in clinical settings. Its accuracy has been validated through three independent research studies.
It is important to note that WHOeyes does not substitute professional eye examinations. Users should continue to seek regular assessments from qualified eye care providers. Neither the WHO nor the app developers can be held responsible for inaccuracies or misinterpretations of results obtained through the application.
WHOeyes is compatible with Android devices running version 8.0 or higher and requires a screen size of at least 5.5 inches.
